PETG with Tribological Properties
The popularization of 3D technology and the increase in specific expectations regarding the functionality of prints bring with them the need to develop increasingly specialized materials. Based on market needs analysis and repeated customer requests, we have decided to expand our offering with PET-G material with tribological properties.
Introducing the Spectrum PETG/PTFE copolymer for use in sliding elements and gears.
As a basis for material development, we used PET-G, which is known for its excellent mechanical properties, complemented by self-lubricating properties by adding 10% PTFE, commonly known as Teflon. Thanks to the careful selection of components while simultaneously reducing the friction coefficient, the filament retains easy printing, interlayer adhesion, impact strength, and thermal properties characteristic of PET-G.The spectrum of PETG/PTFE is used in printed components that are subject to increased wear due to friction and operating temperatures up to 70 °C. The thread is available in a wide range of colors.
