Filament PCTG Spectrum

PCTG Spectrum Filaments – modern engineering material with high durability and precise printability

PCTG Spectrum filaments are an advanced technical material designed for users who need a combination of strength, toughness and easy printability. PCTG filament (PolyCyclohexylenedimethylene Terephthalate Glycol) belongs to the same family as PETG filament, but thanks to its chemical structure it offers significantly better mechanical properties, higher impact resistance and greater stability during printing.
The material is designed for both professional and home 3D printers and provides excellent dimensional accuracy, a smooth surface and clean detail without warping or stringing.

Durability, stability and crystal-clear transparency

Spectrum PCTG combines properties that make it an ideal replacement for PETG in applications where higher strength and thermal resistance are required. Prints made from this material are tough, flexible and resistant to impacts and heat (up to 90 °C). Thanks to its chemical stability, the material retains its shape even under long-term load, while remaining very easy to print even without an enclosed build chamber.

Key properties of Spectrum PCTG:

  • Up to 30% higher impact resistance than PETG

  • Heat resistance up to 90 °C

  • Excellent layer adhesion and minimal warping

  • Dimensional accuracy and a smooth, glossy surface

  • Odourless and low-emission – safe for home use

  • High chemical resistance to oils, lubricants and alcohols

  • Crystal-clear transparency – ideal for transparent or semi-transparent prints

Ideal for functional and structural components

PCTG Spectrum filaments are used for functional prototypes, covers, fasteners, brackets, mechanical parts and design models, wherever impact resistance and long service life are required. The material maintains its strength and flexibility even after prolonged use, making it suitable for technical applications, packaging systems or transparent device covers.

Recommended print settings:

  • Nozzle temperature: 250–270 °C

  • Bed temperature: 75–90 °C

  • Print speed: 40–60 mm/s

  • Cooling fan: 50–100% (depending on the type of print)

Printing with Spectrum PCTG is stable and reliable, without the need for special adhesives or complex tuning, which makes it a user-friendly engineering material.

Wide colour range and eco-friendly Refill variants

As with other products from Spectrum Filaments, the PCTG range is available in many colour variants – from clear and fully transparent to rich technical shades. The material is precisely wound on the spool, vacuum-packed and protected from moisture to ensure maximum quality and consistent printing results.
In addition, Spectrum offers eco-friendly Refill versions without a plastic spool, which help reduce waste and enable more sustainable 3D printing without compromising on quality.

Advantages of Spectrum PCTG over PETG

  • Higher mechanical strength and toughness

  • Better thermal stability

  • Lower tendency to stringing during printing

  • Cleaner, smoother surface finish

  • Longer service life and higher impact resistance

Modern material for reliable and accurate 3D printing

If you are looking for a material that prints as easily as PETG but offers higher performance, strength and reliability, then Spectrum PCTG is the ideal choice. Thanks to its well-balanced formulation, it delivers professional results without complex printer setup.

The PCTG Spectrum Filaments category offers a modern, durable and precise material for demanding users who want to achieve the perfect balance between printability, strength and surface aesthetics. A perfect choice for technical, functional and visually attractive projects.
