Filaments Wood Spectrum

Wood Spectrum filaments – realistic wood appearance and the precise quality of European manufacturing

Wood Spectrum filaments are among the most sought-after natural materials for 3D printing. They combine biodegradable PLA polymer with fine particles of real wood, creating a material that prints as easily as standard PLA filaments, while producing prints with the authentic appearance, texture, and scent of wood.
Thanks to precise processing and the even distribution of wood fibers, Spectrum Wood filaments provide a smooth material flow, a realistic surface, and natural color tones that imitate real wood – such as oak, walnut, pine, or cherry.

The aesthetics of wood, the simplicity of PLA

Spectrum Wood retains all the advantages of classic PLA – easy printability, dimensional accuracy, and environmental friendliness – while adding a unique wooden appearance and tactile effect.

During printing, the filament also has a slight woody scent, enhancing the impression of working with a natural material. After printing, the models can be sanded, varnished, stained, or painted, just like real wood.

Characteristic properties of Wood Spectrum filaments:

  • Natural appearance and scent of real wood

  • Matte, realistic surface without pronounced layers

  • Easy printing even on standard FDM printers

  • Processing options – sanding, varnishing, staining

  • Eco-friendly composition without harmful additives

  • Made in the EU – consistent quality and precision ±0.02 mm

Silky smooth printing without nozzle clogging

Unlike common lower-quality wood filaments, Spectrum Filaments uses a special ground fraction of wood particles that is finer and more uniform, minimizing the risk of nozzle clogging.

The material therefore behaves very stably even during longer printing.
In addition, the color of the print can be partially influenced by adjusting the nozzle temperature – lower temperatures produce a lighter shade, while higher ones cause a darker, “burnt” effect, similar to wood burning.

Recommended print parameters:

  • Nozzle temperature: 190–220 °C

  • Bed temperature: 40–60 °C (optional)

  • Nozzle: 0.5 mm or larger (recommended)

  • Print speed: 40–60 mm/s

Spectrum recommends cleaning the nozzle after every print due to the presence of natural fibers.

Suitable for design, art, and interior accessories

Wood Spectrum is primarily used for design, artistic, and decorative projects, where appearance, texture, and a natural feel are key.

It is ideal for figurines, architectural models, wooden decorations, signs, advertising elements, gift items, or furniture replicas.
The prints appear warm, natural, and realistic, while also retaining the strength, dimensional stability, and low shrinkage typical of PLA.

Eco-friendly and sustainable 3D printing

The Spectrum Wood filament is biodegradable and environmentally friendly, as it is made from renewable plant-based raw materials and wood waste.

During printing, it does not emit any toxic substances or unpleasant odors, making it a safe material for home, school, and professional use.

Why choose Spectrum Wood filaments
