Filaments Wood Spectrum

Spectrum Wood Filaments – Realistic Wood Appearance and Precise Quality of European Manufacturing

Spectrum Wood filaments are among the most sought-after natural materials for 3D printing. They combine a biodegradable PLA polymer with fine particles of real wood, creating a material that prints as easily as standard PLA filaments, yet delivers prints with an authentic wood-like appearance, texture and scent.
Thanks to precise processing and even distribution of wood fibres, Spectrum Wood filaments provide smooth material flow, a realistic surface and natural colour shades that imitate real wood – such as oak, walnut, pine or cherry.

Wood aesthetics with PLA simplicity

Spectrum Wood retains all the benefits of classic PLA – easy printability, dimensional accuracy and environmental friendliness – while adding a unique wooden look and tactile feel.
During printing, the filament gently smells of wood, enhancing the impression of working with a natural material. After printing, models can be sanded, varnished, stained or painted, just like real wood.

Key characteristics of Spectrum Wood filaments:

  • Natural appearance and scent of real wood

  • Matte, realistic surface with minimal visible layers

  • Easy printing even on standard FDM printers

  • Can be post-processed – sanding, varnishing, staining

  • Eco-friendly composition without harmful additives

  • Made in the EU – consistent quality and ±0.02 mm accuracy

Silky-smooth printing without nozzle clogging

Unlike many low-grade wood filaments, Spectrum Filaments uses a special milled fraction of wood particles that is finer and more uniform, significantly reducing the risk of nozzle clogging. The material therefore behaves very stably even during long prints.
In addition, you can partially adjust the colour of the print by changing the nozzle temperature – lower temperatures result in a lighter shade, while higher temperatures produce a darker, “burnt” effect, similar to scorched wood.

Recommended print settings:

  • Nozzle temperature: 190–220 °C

  • Bed temperature: 40–60 °C (optional)

  • Nozzle: 0.5 mm or larger (recommended)

  • Print speed: 40–60 mm/s

Due to the presence of natural fibres, Spectrum recommends cleaning the nozzle after each print.

Ideal for design, art and interior accessories

Spectrum Wood is used mainly for design, artistic and decorative projects, where appearance, texture and natural feel are crucial. It is ideal for statues, architectural models, wooden-style decorations, signs, promotional elements, gifts and furniture replicas.
The prints look warm, natural and realistic, while maintaining the strength, dimensional stability and low shrinkage typical of PLA.

Eco-friendly and sustainable 3D printing

Spectrum Wood filament is biodegradable and environmentally friendly, as it is made from renewable plant-based raw materials and wood waste.
During printing, it releases no toxic substances or unpleasant odours, making it a safe material for home, school and professional use.
