The Virtuos HT-880DPM industrial barcode scanner is a specialized device designed for demanding applications where codes need to be read directly on the surface of parts (DPM - Direct Part Marking). This type of reader can decode codes that are embossed, burned, or etched directly onto metal, plastic, or glass surfaces, even in cases where they have low contrast, are blurred, or damaged. This makes it an ideal solution for quality control in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the automotive industry, electronics, and healthcare, where it is necessary to verify the identification of implants and surgical instruments.

The device uses a modern CMOS sensor with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a 32-bit ARM processor, ensuring a reading speed of up to 60 frames per second. The reader supports a wide range of 1D and 2D codes, including Code128, EAN, QR Code, Data Matrix, and PDF417. Thanks to its advanced algorithm, it can reliably read codes with a resolution as low as 3 mil and a contrast of 20%. The reading distance varies depending on the code type; for example, for Code39 (3 mil) it is 10 to 100 mm, while for QR Code (10 mil) it reaches 10 to 110 mm. The viewing angle is 65 degrees both horizontally and vertically, making work easier even in tight spaces.

The robust construction made of ABS and polycarbonate with flame-retardant properties protects the device from impact and falls from heights of up to 2 meters. The IP65 rating ensures resistance to dust and splashing water, so the reader can handle even demanding industrial environments. The operating temperature ranges from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius and the ambient humidity from 5 to 95% without condensation. The connection is provided via a USB interface that emulates both a keyboard and a serial port, which simplifies integration into various systems. The reader is compatible with Windows 7 to 11, Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems. A red laser cross and white LED lighting are used for easy code targeting. Audible and visual indication confirms successful loading. The length of the connecting cable is 3 meters, which allows for comfortable work without the need to hold the device in your hand the entire time.
