The Virtuos EHE0010 CCD 2D scanner HT-861A is a stationary device designed for fast and reliable barcode reading in a retail environment. Thanks to its omnidirectional scanning field and high sensitivity, it can decode both 1D and 2D codes from various surfaces, including transparent packaging, mobile phone displays, and even crumpled or blurred labels. Modern design and durable construction ensure that the scanner integrates harmoniously into any point-of-sale system and withstands even demanding operating conditions.

The scanner uses red LED illumination with a wavelength of 650 nm, ensuring optimal readability even under extreme lighting conditions – up to 100,000 lux in direct sunlight. The reading speed reaches 60 frames per second, so the cashier does not waste time waiting. The reading field width ranges from 5 to 280 mm, allowing codes of various sizes to be read without the need for precise alignment. The reading angle is adjustable within a range of 65° horizontally and 60° vertically, allowing the operator to adjust the device position according to their needs.

The case is made from a combination of ABS plastic and polycarbonate, ensuring mechanical resistance and a long service life. A weight of just 350 g and dimensions of 98 x 152 x 98 mm allow for easy placement on a counter or table without taking up unnecessary space. The 1.8-meter USB cable length provides sufficient flexibility when connecting to the POS system. The scanner supports automatic reading mode, configurable audible and visual indication of successful decoding, and allows reading multiple codes at once. The firmware can be updated online, ensuring long-term support and feature expansion. The device is prepared to read Czech characters in UTF-8 encoding and supports substitution of GS1 separator characters, which is advantageous, for example, for healthcare applications with anti-counterfeit labels.
