The Virtuos HT-861A is a stationary desktop barcode scanner that combines speed, high sensitivity, and modern design. It is ideal for retail, logistics, healthcare, and office environments where it is necessary to reliably read both 1D and 2D codes from various surfaces – including transparent packaging, mobile phone displays, and crumpled or blurred codes. Thanks to its omnidirectional reading field and adjustable reading angle, it can decode codes from various angles and distances without the need for precise alignment.

The scanner uses a sensitive camera sensor with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a 32-bit MIPS processor clocked at 1 GHz, ensuring smooth and fast operation even under extreme lighting conditions – from 0 up to 100,000 lux (sunlight).

The reading field has a width of 5–280 mm and a reading angle of 65° horizontally and 60° vertically, while it can be easily adjusted as needed. The case is made of durable ABS and polycarbonate, ensuring resilience and an elegant appearance. Dimensions of 98 x 152 x 98 mm and a weight of only 350 g allow for easy placement on a cash register or work desk. The 1.8 m cable provides sufficient flexibility during installation. The scanner supports a wide range of 1D codes (EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128, GS1 DataBar, etc.) and 2D codes (QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec Code), including special formats for healthcare and logistics. The operating temperature ranges between -10 and 50 °C, ambient humidity 5–95% non-condensing. Power is supplied via USB (5 V), idle current under 236 mA and operating current under 450 mA.
