Product description
Basic version of surge protection that will reliably protect all your connected devices. The surge protector has 6 sockets, one of which is separated from the others by a larger space and is intended for connecting power adapters, which on other surge protectors often extend into the adjacent socket, causing you to lose it.
OVERVOLTAGE AND ITS POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES
Overvoltage in the electrical network is voltage whose value exceeds 253 V. Overvoltage also includes voltage spikes, which may be caused, for example, by a lightning strike. Power surges can cause significant damage:
- damage to the computer
- damage to important computer components
- damage to devices connected to the computer, such as monitors, printers, - damage to devices connected to the computer via USB or FireWire interface
- damage to network components
- data loss
SURGE PROTECTORS
are designed to protect electronic devices and equipment (computers, peripherals, multimedia devices, TV receivers, DVD and video players, HiFi systems, etc.) against short circuits, impulse overvoltages in the network, and high-frequency interference.
The Powerton surge protector is equipped with a 10 A resettable fuse. If the devices connected to the surge protector exceed a current draw of 10 A, the fuse will trip.
