3M Cubitron II™ 987C fibre discs are made using precision-shaped ceramic grain that creates ultra-sharp, fast-cutting points which wear evenly and stay cool. The breakdown of the mineral is optimized, thereby extending the service life of the disc. The discs contain a Grinding-Aid™ bonding layer that reduces heating and the formation of heat marks during the grinding process. The discs remove material faster, achieve smoother surfaces, and require less pressure than conventional abrasives, which means more comfortable and safer grinding. Target applications: weld removal, scale, pits and surface defects, beveling, edge chamfering.
