Product description

High-temperature polyamide filled with glass microspheres

The Spectrum PA6 GK10 filament is based on the material LUVOCOM 3F PAHT® GK 9874 NT. The qualitative parameters of the filament have been fully tested and are certified by Lehmann&Voss&Co KG.

Filament Spectrum PA6 GK10 (manufactured based on LUVOCOM 3F PAHT® GK 9874 NT) is a new high-temperature engineering material based on polyamide 6 in a natural color. Thanks to the filling with glass microspheres, it is stiffer and lighter compared to the basic polyamide material. The properties of the Spectrum PA6 GK10 material (manufactured using LUVOCOM 3F PAHT® GK 9874 NT) include low moisture impact, resistance to high temperatures, and good electrical insulation compared to unmodified PA6 and PA66. In addition, PA6 GK10 is characterized by low linear shrinkage (not exceeding 0.3 0,5 %).

The PA6 GK10 spectrum (manufactured with LUVOCOM 3F PAHT® GK 9874 NT) filled with glass microspheres has similar thermal properties to the carbon fiber (CF) version while also being an electrical insulator. The material is not as abrasive to the nozzles as the carbon fiber version and is significantly lighter than pure polyamide, which can help reduce the weight of the final print.

From a technical standpoint, the highly attractive properties of the Spectrum PA6 GK10 material (manufactured using LUVOCOM 3F PAHT® GK 9874 NT) can be achieved by adhering to the basic storage rules for this type of material (in a dry and dark place with humidity below 15%).

To achieve the best properties of the printed object, it is recommended to dry the material before starting work.

Material Properties

  • high temperature resistance up to 160 °C for short-term operation (max. 200 h)
  • very high temperature resistance up to 120 °C for long-term operation (20,000 h)
  • heat distortion temperature ? HDT A 90°C (ISO 75)
  • water absorption below 0.3% (23°C/24h)
  • high creep resistance
  • high hardness and stiffness of manufactured parts
  • good tribological properties, even under dry friction conditions found in sliding bearings.
  • chemical resistance to plastic greases and oils
  • wide range of applications
  • very strong layer lamination
  • good impact strength
  • relatively high resistance to thermal aging

Applications

  • functional prototyping
  • printing of real components
  • manufacturing tools
  • production of parts for final use
  • production of gears and belts, scrapers, and guide rollers operating at elevated temperatures up to 120 °C long-term and up to 160 °C short-term
  • all kinds of sealing rings and plates with increased chemical and corrosion resistance
