The high-strength foam tape 3M VHB 5962 is primarily designed for difficult-to-bond plastics and baked powder coatings. Soft, adaptable foam adheres perfectly even to rougher textured surfaces. Excellent for filling in uneven surfaces. Dampens vibrations. Withstands exterior conditions. Withstands extreme temperatures. Seals and insulates. Quickly and cleanly creates long-lasting reliable connections.
The tape is designed for surfaces with high surface energy (HSE): unpainted metals, glass, wood, stone, ceramics, etc.; with medium surface energy (MSE): metals painted with non-baked paints, plastics except LSE, natural fabrics, etc.; with low surface energy (LSE): metals coated with powder-baked paint, plastics: PP, PE, nylon, etc.
