The 3M Scotchlok™ 316IR connector is used for connecting or branching individual conductors for both small and low voltage in extremely humid environments (irrigation, etc.).). It utilizes a U-type notch element, which ensures the cutting of the top insulation of the conductor when the connector is applied, and subsequently provides full transmission of the conductor's cross-section. It is applied very simply: the notch connector is placed on the prepared wires and by pressing the notch element with flat pliers, the wires are connected.
