The double-sided foam tape 3M 9528W features a closed-cell polyethylene foam carrier and an aggressively adhesive rubber adhesive. Adheres to most materials, including more difficult-to-bond plastics. It effectively fills small irregularities and structures of bonded surfaces. The white foam has a yellow paper liner.

The tape is designed for surfaces with high surface energy (HSE): unpainted metals, glass, wood, stone, ceramics, etc.; with medium surface energy (MSE): metals painted with non-baked paints, plastics except LSE, natural fabrics, etc.; with low surface energy (LSE): metals coated with powder-baked paint, plastics: PP, PE, nylon, etc.
