Product description
The 3M Water Contact Indicator Tape 5557 indicates contact with water, which is primarily used as a control mechanism for devices and instruments that are at risk of damage upon contact with water. If water comes into contact with the edge of this tape, the color of the tape will permanently change from white to red. With this tape, you will obtain clear evidence of water damage, especially in electronics. Acrylic adhesive creates high-strength bonds with most surfaces, even those with low surface energy, including plastics (polypropylene) and powder coatings. The tape allows for easy and precise die-cutting even on a rotary machine. Its top layer allows for thermal transfer, flexographic, or screen printing. The tape complies with UL-969.
