Product description
The sliding tape 3M 5421 made of UHMW (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight) polyethylene has a very low coefficient of friction and very low surface energy. The tape increases the slipperiness of material surfaces, preventing adhesives or dirt from sticking to the surface. It is suitable as protection against surface abrasion or to eliminate squeaking of plastic parts in tight fittings. The adhesive side is protected by a paper silicone liner.
Examples of use: sliding parts of drawers and cabinets, top surfaces of packing tables, discharge chutes, guide rails of belt conveyors, rotor blades, covering layers - protection for sticky, resinous, or viscous materials, etc.
