Verbatim SDHC cards (Secure Digital High Capacity memory cards, SD 2.0) were designed for use in compatible digital cameras, camcorders, smartphones, computers, and other consumer applications. SDHC cards use the FAT32 file system, which is a specification designed for high-capacity storage and suitable for storing high-quality video.

As high-definition video expanded, the demands for storage capacity of high-definition digital photography applications and mobile applications increased, and even more so for faster data transfers. For this reason, SDHC cards guarantee a minimum constant data transfer speed, instead of the maximum.

Verbatim SDHC cards are fully compliant with all relevant SD standards. They also include write protection to prevent accidental data deletion. SDHC cards use the same physical format as SD cards but cannot be used in SD devices that do not comply with SDA version 2 specifications.0.

Speed Class Rating:
The Speed Class Rating is the official unit for measuring the speed of SD cards as defined by the SD Association. It is equivalent to a speed of 8 Mb/s and measures the minimum write speed in the "best fragmented state, when no memory unit is occupied."

Class 10: Guaranteed minimum transfer rate of 80 Mb/s (10 MB/s).
